Garage clearance in Jedburgh and the Scottish Borders

The room most people avoid

Garages have a way of becoming the default storage space for everything that doesn't have a home elsewhere — old tools, half-used tins of paint, bikes nobody rides, boxes from a house move a decade ago. Over the years it can become genuinely difficult to know where to start, or even to get the car back in. We clear garages of any size, from a quick tidy-out to years of built-up clutter.

A lot of what accumulates in a garage needs particular care to dispose of properly — paint, oil, solvents, old batteries and other household chemicals shouldn't just go in general waste, and we handle these through the correct disposal channels rather than lumping everything together. Genuinely useful tools and equipment are often suitable for donation, which we're happy to arrange where possible.

This is a particularly common job across the older terraces and cottages of Jedburgh and the surrounding villages, where rear garages and lock-ups have often been used the same way for decades.

How it works

A few photos are usually enough for us to give a free quote for a garage clearance. On the day, we sort through everything methodically, separating usable tools and equipment for donation, hazardous materials for specialist disposal, recyclable metal and general waste for authorised removal.

If there's anything specific you want kept — a particular tool, a family bike, boxes you haven't had time to go through — just point it out and we'll set it aside.

Most single garages are cleared within an hour or two; larger or particularly full spaces may take a little longer, which we'll always confirm at the quote stage.

Paint, oil, batteries and solvents are handled through proper disposal routes — never mixed in with general rubbish.
